First off, I congratulate the team on this winning. We haven't conceded in two games, that's so important. But I need time to assess the team. Frankly speaking, the opponents we had were sort of not the level I could say we were great. It was like a training session for us. On the one hand, I'm pleased with our play, on the other, I understand the team has room for improvement. We must be more confident in ball possession depending on the game's tempo. We need to play at the same level for all 90 minutes. Today we could see that some players looked physically tired. In the 60th minute, it was clear we needed to replace 3-4 players. That’s where we should improve. It’s not easy, but there are some days to prepare the team for the qualifying matches of the Champions League.
You have a difficult period ahead: within 10 days the team is to play three games in the Cup, against Zimbru and Milsami. How do you keep the team up?
First of all, we think about ourselves. Games for the Cup and the Championship are equally important for us. We will change the line-up. Young players will also receive chances to play. I hope they will take the chance. I also hope we will make the team stronger with some new signings. We need to be well-toned, we don’t have substitutes in some positions. We will move forward step by step. I think we’ll make it.
In the previous game, Damascan played well. Today, he wasn’t on the list. Why so?
He is a little bit unwell. But Kamara was quite good today and scored three times. I hope Damascan will be back soon.
On Tuesday there will be a draw for the first rounds of the Champions League. Do you have any preferences regarding the opponents?
To say the truth, no. Now we are concentrated on our team. We want the guys to improve their condition in all playing segments, to be more fit for the games. All opponents we may match up serious teams and we must treat seriously every rival.
