FC Sheriff – FC Dacia
Principal opponents FC Sheriff and FC Dacia met in terms of the third round, National Division. It was the first victory of FC Dacia over FC Sheriff in history.
FC Dacia started more actively and had their first dangerous moment already on 3rd minute. Akhmed Barahoev made a firm long-range shot but Juric was able to make a save. But then suddenly FC Sheriff was awarded a penalty since Maxim Antoniuk pushed Barahoev in their penalty area. Milos Krkotic delivered a penalty shot and it became an opener. FC Sheriff responded quickly. Leonel Olimpio sent a long-ranged shot at the opponent’s goal, Dorian Railean stroke it aside, Ismail Isa running in on a ball missed shooting wide. After the scored goal the visiting team started playing counterattacks, one of which was almost converted. Krkotic came one to one with Serghei Juric who made a great save.
In the second half the game became more interesting. Ricardinho made a shot but Railean cleared the ball. On 59th minute Ricardinho delivered a corner very precisely which was turned home by Marcel Metoua. Ten minutes later FC Sheriff was awarded a penalty. Milos Krkotic sent a bend thus scoring a second goal. Delivered corner shot became a real attack of the goalkeeper and another goal. But referees made a decision to cancel that goal. It was the first victory of FC Dacia over FC Sheriff in its history.
