Abdrei Corneencov: «Every game is tough»
Abdrei Corneencov, assistant head coach of FC Sheriff, on the first match of the new season:
- Every game is tough. There are no easy games. The score on the board is 3–0. But today, the weather was also quite hot. The guys had to show their determination and character in the first half. Overall, a big thank you to the players—they accomplished their task and achieved the result.
- Several newcomers made their debuts. What do you think of their play? How are they settling in?
- We’ll integrate them into our team and lineup and set our expectations for them. The guys are adapting quite well and quickly, which is encouraging.
- What are your plans for the league and the European cup season?
- We’re not looking that far ahead. As I said last season, we’re preparing for each game. In the next round, we’ll have a tough match against “Politehnica” in Orhei. We’re preparing for that match, and after it, we’ll prepare for the next one.
- This year, the fans are hoping for the championship…
- You’re getting ahead of yourself. We’ve only played the first round of the championship; there’s still a long way to go. God willing, everything will go well, and we’ll become champions if we can.
